Japan is planning to build a base on the moon by 2020
Japan Plans a Moon Base by 2020, Built by Robots for Robots
America may have eighty-sixed its moon base ambitions, but the Japanese have no plans to let perfectly good lunar real estate go to waste. An ambitious $2.2 billion project in the works at JAXA, the Japanese space agency, plans to put humanoid robots on the moon by 2015, and now official backing from the Prime Minister's office says the Japanese could have an unmanned lunar base up and running by 2020.
Key to all of this, of course, is the robots themselves, and who better than the Japanese to dream up and realize the kind of intelligent, self-repairing, multitasking bots that will be needed to fulfill such a mission.
I wonder if the Japanese know there are already bases on the moon :)
I am very honor to have Japan as my research topic last month. Whenever I heard Japan, one word initiate to my mind and this is Japan is AMBITIOUS. I am happy to the journey that I went through for the last month and I can't get over their great accomplishments and one the aspiring events that I am looking forward is their launch of building a Moon Base for Robots on 2020. Wow! This is a great, great dream for them. For this month I am currently working on to my newest topic about Stephen Hawking. Comprehending the whole world does not require God claims Stephen Hawking. If you were to ask Hawking, or his co-author of “The Grand Design”, Leonard Mlodinow, The Lord is just something made up by humans. There is a constant debate between science and religion the Grand Design discus. Hawking believes that gravity is what made it so the whole world could be created. He feels no God might be a part of this. Anyone opposed to Hawking's ideas will say that comprehending God’s role within the world does not come through scientific research.
